Questions

Maybe it seems like I was bragging before with all my good ideas. Look, man--I'm just a regular person. I do have a lot of good ideas but it's not like all my ideas are good or like I know everything. I have a lot of questions, too. Here are some of them:

If I'm trying to be green, as they say, and I take some time to really evaluate my pajamas and whether they need to be washed instead of mindlessly thrown into the dirty clothes hamper is that good for the environment? What if the shower is running while I do this?

You know those clothes lines strung across apartment buildings that you see in movies that are like pulleys with the clothes on them? How do they get there? Do you have to have an agreement with the person across the air from you? Do they hang up one side of it for you? Do you share it with that person? What if you both want to use it at the same time?
Do you like my blog? How much? What do you like best about it? Would you forsake other blogs for mine--I would never ask you to, but would you?

Why is my hair ugly no matter what I do? Seriously, it doesn't hurt my feelings. I want to understand the science behind it. Since my hair doesn't function as a beauty enhancer, it may as well be an object lesson for some kind of physical phenomenon. Understanding my hair should be worth a merit badge at least.

Why is yoga so popular? I only see skinny people doing it, which is a good sign on the face of it but I suspect it means that skinny people like the yoga outfits. They are flattering! (If you're skinny).

Is there any kind of reliable way to predict when Easter is?

If you were Lindsay Lohan or someone like that wouldn't you be embarrassed that you were such a cliche? And wouldn't that motivate you to stop wearing leggings and to stay home a couple nights a week?

Wallpaper seems to be coming back in style. How long do you think this will last? Because I don't have the time or inclination to put it up (like we did in the 80s) if I'm just going to have to take it down (like we did in the 90s).

Do you think Mormons write the best blogs? Or do you think bloggers of other faiths write the best blogs? Or do the Jack-Mormons have a corner on the market?

  1. These are a lot of questions. I would forsake other blogs for yours if you posted more often. But I need daily fixes of bloggin'. So if that is motivation for you...

No wallpaper. What unfortunate home design thing are you reading that says wallpaper is coming back? Don't believe them. They need to come up with crap in order to sell magazines.

I only see skinny people doing yoga and fat people eating salads. I tend to eat a lot of salads.

I think most Mormons write boring blogs. Occasionally I am wrong. Your blog crowd seems to be an exception.

  2. How are we supposed to know how ugly your hair is? I haven't seen many self-portraits on this blog. You need to do "a week in the life of Kacy's hair" or something like that.

I love your blog (8.5 out of 10, I think). But yes, I agree with Heidi. I need a few more helpings of blog. If you would care to blog 2-3 times per day then I would bump you up to maybe 9.5.

I love pattern (polka dots, paisley, toile--preferably all in the same room) so I am THRILLED that wallpaper is coming back in. I just spent three days smearing joint compound over my annoyingly textured walls so I can put up wallpaper in my kitchen and entry hall. I love those old movies from the 30's and 40's that have wallpaper going on in every room. As long as you don't pick something really dated (e.g. geese with bows around their necks on a country blue background) you should be fine. After 10 years, you'll be sick of whatever you have. Do you really think you'll be in the same house in 10 years?

  3. I like your blog (and I'm delurking, just for you. In my defense, I only recently "found" you. don't even ask me how)

    Wallpaper? Meh.

    Yoga? Meh

    Easter? Bleh, Gah, pbhhht.

    Lohan? ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Ugly Hair? not my problem. Pictures would be appreciated though.

the Mormon thing? tricky subject. but for me, blogging comes down to content. I'm over foofy posts of your kids. write something already.

I have many opinions, but I will only share a few:

I would forsake most blogs for yours. And I mean that.

I have always liked your hair. I can't pull off short and you always have been able to (is it still short?) I loved it in your wedding announcement.

I have heard wallpaper is back. Stay classic and I think you are all right. Hanging it sucks, I'd rather just paint.

  5. I'm pretty sure Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon in spring. Or something to that effect. It won't be on March 23rd again for about 50 more years.

  6. I think it would be difficult to hang those clotheslines between two buildings. I don't enjoying hanging out of a 4th story window either, so I would spring for the cost of the dryer. Even though that that would definitely not be the green alternative.
I don't like wearing pajamas over and over again. When in doubt, put in the hamper.

  7. If you are evaluating this while the shower is running, is the faucet running as well since you are brushing your teeth?

Those lines were never meant to be used for clothing. They are wires that hold the buildings up.

Yes I do like your blog, but I wouldn't forsake my blog for it. Unless you let me post for your blog. Then maybe I could.

I think your hair looks dandy. But I think I like my hairdo best. I don't have to do anything besides wash and dry.

Yoga is popular because people eat Yogurt after. And everyone loves Yogurt.

    Sure: http://www.holidays.net/easter/eadates.htm

I used to think Lindsay Lohan was hot. Then I saw that she wasn't really tan, but covered in freckles.

Wallpaper will be in for about 6 years. About the time people decide to repaint. Then when they realize they have to pull it off, it's not that cool anymore. This is the future of wall covering and paint:

The jack's have the edge. They appeal to everyone. People who hate us, people who love us.

  8. If this isn't a cry from the public to post everyday, I don't know what is!!!

I want to answer all of these questions because I have an opinion on everything, of course. But I feel I need to be eating something while I do. It seems unnatural otherwise.

  9. These questions are dandy's. I have so many questions going through my head too... Spam usually gets to hear and try to answer all of them. I see he tried to do that here for you too {you can borrow him to answer your questions anytime you want}.

I'm just going to respond to one of your questions. The one about your hair. I have a witness if you don't believe what I'm about to say... After our dinner the other night in "P" town, I told Ammon your hair is so nice it makes me want to cut mine. He said "She does have nice hair". There you have it. So stop with this ugly non-sense! You've got great hair!

  10. About the pajamas. Are you ALSO running the water while you are brushing your teeth with the shower on while you are deciding? Because that's just wrong.

  11. Wallpaper is back.

I love your blog so much that I even mention things I read on it to my husband (who ignores me as he does any time I bring up anything that originated from a blog, so there's that.)

I always wondered about the tenement laundry thing.

  12. The shower thing...I think I am doing the same thing. The green police would have a hey day if they saw the inner workings of my house.

Yoga...I agree, the clothing is flattering on skinny people...hence, I don't do yoga clothing...I eat salads instead.

    Wallpaper...one word...blech!

Do I like your blog? Love it!

Mormons vs. other blogs...they can be ok. I think the sub culture we belong to prevents some from just saying things the way they'd like to really say them! Another reason I like your blog!

  13. "Do you like my blog? How much? What do you like best about it? Would you forsake other blogs for mine--I would never ask you to, but would you?"

I'm delurking to answer you, and that says a lot.

This reminds me of on my mish (you know it's going to be AWESOME when someone starts a story that way, right?) there was a guy who would always ask me, "How much do you love Jesus? If someone pulled out all your fingernails one by one, would you still love Jesus?"

Just for the record, if someone pulled out all my fingernails one by one, I would still love your blog.

  14. Hmmm...I love your blog, but you don't post very often...and no, no one but family likes posts about kids, which is why I only write them once in a while. And yes, I loved your other post. I am sick of my son already. I'm trying to pawn him off on some Grandma for a couple days.
Also, I would like to say s#!@ on my blog, but some of my audience wouldn't like it. Like some ward members can be pesky that way. Otherwise, I'd live it up.

  15. I wish people would talk more about how nice my hair is. It is surprisingly fulfilling.
