My Blog Has a Brother From Another Mother

Let me tell you something: I love blogging. Seriously. I could blog all day and all night--writing blogs, reading blogs, commenting on blogs, talking about blogs with other people who blog, and totally blowing off anyone who doesn't blog. I don't have any control over it. It's just how I feel.

Now let me ask you something: What's better than a blog? I'll tell you--Two blogs. What the freakazoid? That's right. I have two blogs now. Well, I have this one plus another one that I have to share with three other people. I don't mind sharing. It's really more like a girl band then a blog anyway, at least that's how I think of it. And Randy Davis from Excel Entertainment is like our very own Lou Pearlman. . . but with the integrity of Deseret Book. . . and not so fat.

How did I get so lucky? It's pretty simple, really. Randy is married to my sister-in-law's college roommate who was also in my ward briefly and whose mother is married to the father of a boy I dated rather seriously in college until it ended badly with the boy threatening to lay down under the tires of my truck in the parking lot of the BYU Law Building. So. Anyway.

You might be asking, "What does this all mean, Kacy?" Well, friend--I'll tell you what it means. It means I have one more place to talk about Led Zeppelin and Lord of the Rings. Think I'm kidding? Try me.

Bonus: In one of my co-blogger, Emily's, books (yeah, she's pretty famous) I delighted in these words, ". . . I was watching a lot of X-Files at the time. . . " Come to Mama! It's going to be awesome. Go to my other blog. It will be like Christmas. It doesn't totally work yet but you can read posts and leave comments. There are tons of posts already written for you and waiting.--I've written 9 already! What else are you going to do today--vacuum your baseboards? Don't patronize me.

  1. Do you know you have 74 people who subscribe to your blog? Do you expect us all to just jump through these hoops for you? (You know we will, I'm just asking . . . .)

  2. Oh, the sacrifice. To have to read more of your writing. Well, as long as you are typing and not handwriting it and scanning it in. I couldn't read THAT. :)

  3. Congrats on the new digs! Although I really won't go walking with you if you become a stuck-up celebrity.

  4. Well, when my new book, "Sexy Teenage Vampires" comes out you will all eat your words! The sequel is going to be called "Ugly Angst-Ridden Werewolves."

  5. I checked it out. I just spent 2 hours reading ALL the posts. I like yours the best (and I don't think it is because you are the only one of the writers I actually know in real life and are married to one of my best friends from HS).

And I really should be cleaning my house because I have 6 people arriving in a few hours to stay at my house for a week. But oh well!

  9. Looks like Exponent 2 for the new century - which means I could get involved reading it - but I have a wedding to pull off in a month, so I guess I will just skim for now.

  10. Looks to me like this new poly-blog (polygamist blog, aka: A blog with multiple contributers) could be worth a read.

  11. How I found your new blog {light refresments} I'm not sure, but what a find it was! You will probably not remember be, but here's the short of it... you taught my Hon 200 (I think??) freshman english class, whoa! You were awesome, and I loved turning in assignments and hoping you'd give me a 'check-plus'. Ha! Thanks for the great class which truly helped my writing, and I have lots of fond memories from all the projects (and the fact that my two best friends were in the class with me).

So great to read your blog posts, you truly have a gift, and I appreciate your humor as 'an annoying new mother'... haha, how true it is.

    Keep writing, it's great!
