[This starts out to the tune of "Time In a Bottle" by Jim Croce but it takes a left turn at the Dark Arts into Gangsterville. The rhymed couplets were inspired by David Rakoff. The last person who inspired me to wrote poetry was. . . wait for it. . . . Akon.]
Hello friends, it's great to see
That you're still here reading me
After all this time
To you, l'chaim
And maybe it's not "Every Day"
But it's a lot and I'm so way
Into you
And what you do
Cuz you're not a troll and you don't care
That I throw away poopy underwear
If I blog about not much for dinner
You don't tell me that my kids look thinner
You're so great This blog's a date
We can talk about what we hate
Or what we love and here's a clue
It starts with Honey and ends with Boo
In the Dark Arts we don't dabble
You've got my back over at Babble
I had a baby had a baby had a baby had four
Ya'll know that I think I might die if I have more
Blogging is 10% luck 20% skill
15% concentrated power of will
It's 5% input 50% my own say
and 100% reason to write the book every day

ReplyDeleteYeah. I am.
DeleteI KNEW it.
DeleteI knew it, too. I think he possessed me to write a Seussian poem for my Grandma this week. I miss him already. *sigh*.......Whatever possessed you, I LOVE IT! Thank you for thanking so artistically
Deletemajor smile :)
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm impressed, that would have taken me like a month to write.
ReplyDeleteAnd that is why I read you. Amazing, dear :)
ReplyDeleteIt is finally time that I let you know that your writing has made me actually comment for the first time on any blog-EVER! I stumbled across your writing on Light Refreshments served, found this blog, and followed you to babble(and actually commented there). I want to let you know personally how much I enjoy your thoughts and the time you take to write. I get a kick out of it, learn new ideas about how to parent, and see that how I feel as a mother is how other women also feel. Even if it seems like I am the odd ball at church. Just want to let you know you rock! AnnMarie
ReplyDeleteWell and that is also why I enjoy reading your blog Blogging Profits Unleashed
